After reading all the reviews on Kanye West' film Runaway, I'm kinda sorta 'iffy' about them.
I mean, I'm a huge Kanye fan so maybe i'm biased but I know what art is, and that right there was art. If I could feel the way I felt when I first watched this film everyday, I'd be the most excited and inspired person alive.
People dont think the music fits with the movie but to me, they're just stupid.
Listen closly, the whole album is based off his Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy, i.e runaway.
The music is amazing. The visuals were something James Cameron would love.
All in all, Runaway is greatness at its peak.

ReplyDeleteDon't get me wrong it's not bad and it has good music. It just lacks direction and clear plot.

I don't know about the peak of greatness but it was a good film.
ReplyDeleteThe direction was strong, bold and artistic so I'll have to disagree with 'little john.'
As for the plot; I'm not sure there was one specific message the story was trying to get across. Meaning is there if you look for it but for those of us who lack imagination and the ability to READ BETWEEN THE LINES you may need it drawn out for you..
